Happy to say I had a phenomenal experience! I’m new to town so finding a good spot to get hair done is such a pain, but Rachel made my experience so good! She listens, gave great advice, and did an amazing job. The salon itself is super cute also. Genuinely so happy to have found this place 🙂

Sarah is my absolute favorite!!! Especially for the cut portion. She is so patient and actually wants you to be happy when you leave! So easy to talk to. Just had my first haircut at this salon with Sarah. The salon was perfect. Sarah was very attentive and gave me exactly what I asked for. Sarah was also so easy to talk to. It started to rain and Tom walked me out to my car with an umbrella. I give the whole experience 10/10.

Every time I step into this beautiful house, it feels a bit like home. Greeted warmly by Tom, he insures I am comfortable, offering coffee, tea, or just a fresh cold water. I settle in a lovely room, impeccably decorated. Whether I book with Rachel or Sarah, both wonderful and pampering, I feel like I've upgraded to first class! I've been cut and styled by both. First and foremost they listened closely to my expectations and I finally felt seen. I don't spend lots of time styling at home, so an easy, practical style that looks fantastic and falls into place is generally my request. Their skills are so very appreciated, and I leave looking and feeling wonderful. What a great addition to our town! I am so pleased I have found these stylists!!

I saw Amy for a cute cut that would be easy to maintain as a tired & busy mom of a rambunctious toddler and she MORE THAN DELIVERED!!! The salon is a beautiful and calming space, Amy is stellar and a great conversationalist to boot - it never felt awkward or forced and times of silence were pleasant. She took my concerns and questions seriously and was very encouraging and made great suggestions that would work for my hair and lifestyle specifically. Plus, the no-gratuity policy was such a relief. 10/10 recommend!

After living in Powder Springs for a few years, and driving back to Atlanta every 6-8 weeks to get my vivid hair redone, I finally got tired of the drive and decided to see if Oak + Lorel could be my salon home, closer to my own home.The online inquiry process was great, I was able to state my budget and describe the services I wanted, and they responded to me very quickly. I was paired with Charlene for my appointment.When you arrive you're immediately welcomed and offered complimentary coffee beverages, which sets a nice vibe to start with. Charlene is a sweetheart and immediately understood the color treatment I wanted. She listened to what I was saying and transformed my tired hair into superstar tresses! I have been to the salon for two appointments now and I can say without hesitation that it's one of the best places I've had my hair done.If you're looking for a tip-free, quiet, spa-like experience for your hair and you feel like you have to travel to get the quality you need and expect, give Oak + Lorel a try. I had the pleasure of having my hair cut and styled by Rachel the other day. We had a wonderful conversation and the cut was incredible. If other stylists are in the same vein as Rachel, I cannot recommend Oak + Laurel enough.

90% of the time after leaving a haircut I smile and say I like it and then go home and cry a little. Charlene really listened to me, even things I thought I was just saying off-handedly, and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I love it even more after looking in the mirror at home! No tears! Sarah was absolutely awesome. I highly recommend this salon to everyone! Sarah went above and beyond for me. She not only cut and colored my hair but helped me get my clip in extensions in my hair and layered them in so that I could practice my wedding day hair. Not to mention, Tom at the desk is so kind and nice to talk to. (Meeting their mascot Piper was definitely a highlight of the experience!) ALSO the scalp massage was insanely relaxing, music was so nice, vibes were so perfect! I would highly recommend getting your hair done by Sarah and trying this salon in general for the amazing quality and experience! Will be my new salon from now on.

Picture this: you're now the mother of two kids and you can't remember the last time you got your haircut let alone when you washed it. You're finally in the shower after a long day of working full time and parenting and you spend most of the time detangling you're very long and neglected hair and you SNAP. Enough is enough you are booking yourself an appointment to get your hair done. You try to book with the person you saw last year (or was it two years ago?) but they can't see you for two weeks and never respond back to your last text to actually book the appointment. Enter Amy at Oak + Lorel. I was able to book online at 1030pm on a Thursday for a 5pm appt on Friday. You arrive at this beautiful old house and are greeted as soon as you walk in and offered a drink. However, I don't have time to open my drink because Amy is right there so I don't have to wait 15 min for my appointment. I give her probably the vaguest idea of what I want my hair to look like " I want it long enough to be up in a pony tail but short enough that you can see my waves and I want it to look good when it air dries because I don't have time to style it." Amy got to work. She was quick and obviously skilled. You know how you're hair looks great when you leave the salon, but it's blah about an hour later? Well, I LOVE it even more 5 hours later after playing outside with the kids and putting them to bed. I turned 40 in March and today is the first time this year I've felt young fresh and dare I say, sexy?! I will be going back and I feel very lucky to have found the place!

I was looking for a salon close to my home, and I'm so happy to have found this gem! I was able to get a same-day appointment with Sarah, the trim was excellent, and the service and welcoming vibes of the place were absolutely wonderful. I couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Just the best! My first experience…While driving through a sudden down pour to make my appointment, I was greeted at my car door, in the parking lot by the owner with an umbrella. Amy then gave me, maybe the best haircut I’ve ever gotten… You know when you get a haircut, and you can tell that they know what they’re doing and you can tell they care about doing a great job…like that.

Nestled in Downtown Powder Springs, you’re greeted with Magnolia trees, and a charming historic home with a cozy porch. I loved hearing all about the history of the home from Amy. She took such great care of me and made me feel so comfortable. The products she uses smell divine. Easy booking online with great hours. She truly is an artist that takes her time. Happy I found “my salon” 🫶🏼.

I visited Oak + Lorel for a blowout with Amy, the owner. Amy was fantastic and styled my hair perfectly to give it life that it needed going into the weekend! She is a very attentive to her customers needs and provides the coziest of salon experiences. RUN, don’t walk to Oak + Lorel for all your hair needs. I will most definitely be back! Sarah, her stylist, was also very personable. I cannot say anything better about this team!
